Course Information

The Work at Height Regulations 2005, require that anyone working at height should be competent to do so and be trained in the equipment used to gain access. This course will ensure delegates have the knowledge and instruction to be able to use, select, maintain and inspect ladders and step ladders for working at height.

Course Overview

The Ladders User & Inspection course is designed to train a maximum of 6 delegates per course.

The course covers the following:

• Ladders and component parts
• Overview of legislation and regulations
• Work at Height regulations
• Standards and classifications
• Planning and organising, Selecting & Using – STEP
• Assessing Risks
• Inspection and Records
• Storage, Handling and Maintenance

How long is the course?

The Ladders User & Inspection is a One-Day training course. We ask all trainees to be on site for 08:00. The course will start shortly after and normally finishes between 16:00-16:30

Where is training held?

We can facilitate Ladders & Step Ladders training through accredited providers either nationally on site or in our fully equipped Training Centres at: Blackpool, Preston, Manchester, Warrington, Lancaster, Castleford & Blackburn. If you require on-site training please contact our Training department for a quotation.

What is included?

• Ladders/Step Ladders, Training manuals
• Certificates are included in the price.
• Candidates will be required to bring with them their PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
